Ph.D., Indiana University, 1970 Curriculum Vitae The major focus of my research is studying tissue and cell specific gene expression during development and differentiation in plants. Genes controlling metabolic and developmental processes and pathogen response in normal and stressed growth environments are of particular interest. Specific objectives and approaches include molecular cloning and mapping, and characterizations of gene expression through biochemical, cellular, and molecular means to attain an overall understanding of gene regulation in plants (particularly corn and sorghum).
