There are four types of pages linked to the plants and their families. One type of page has pictures of symptoms and inclusions of all the viruses found in a given plant Family (such as the Orchidaceae or the Commilenaceae) or all of the viruses found in a given Genus and species within a Family (for example Peppers -Capsicum annum/Solanaceae or squash and pumpkin - Cucurbita pepo/ Cucurbitaceae). These are linked either to the Family name or to the Genus species name respectively.).

A second type of page has pictures of the symtoms and inclusions of a particular virus in a particular plant . These are linked to the the whole virus name listed under the Genus and species name(for example squash mosaic comovirus in Cucurbita pepo).

The third type of page has a picture or pictures of the inclusions of a particular virus only . These inclusions can be in many different hosts. These are linked to the first two-three words of the viruses name. For example - cucumber mosaic , tobacco mosiac, or tomato spotted wilt. A few pages have pictures of symptoms only and are linked to a page of virus inclusions for the particular virus involved.

The fourth type of page has pictures of virus inclusions of a particular Family of viruses. These are linked to the virus family name such as the Bromoviridae, Comoviridae, Geminiviridae , Potyviridae, or the Rhabdoviridae.
