PPGSO Outreach Committee and Rollins Lab Team Up for Middle School Family Science Night

On February 6, the PPGSO Outreach Committee and the Jeffery Rollins lab partnered to host a table at the Howard Bishop Middle School Family Science Night. Hundreds of middle school attendees and their families learned about plant pathogens and their importance. Specific emphasis was placed on laurel wilt, a devastating plant pathogen for Florida, and attendees learned about how they can play a part in halting pathogen spread by not moving firewood. Dr. Jeffery Rollins, Josh Konkol, Qiang Wang, and Jeannie Klein represented the Plant Pathology Department at this event.
