Dr. Samuel Martins is the 2022 recipient of the CALS Scholarship of Teaching and Learning Award

Dr. Samuel Martins was awarded the 2022 College of Agricultural and Life Sciences (CALS) Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) Award during the 23rd annual Teaching Enhancement Symposium. The event was held on August 16 at the UF Hilton and Conference Center and attracted about 200 participants. This is the first year that a member of the Plant Pathology Department has earned this award.
Dr. Martins was recognized for incorporating his innovative collaborative teaching methods into publications in collaboration with the UF Center for Teaching Excellence, Agricultural Education and Communication Department, and students from our department. Additionally, Dr. Martins has been participating in SoTL events and disseminating his findings through presentations. Two recent examples of his publications can be accessed at:
