About
Hi my name is Travis Yang and I am a PhD student currently rotating in the department. My research interests are about studying the molecular mechanisms of resistance in plants and how different bacterial and viral plant pathogens target those mechanisms.
I received my Bachelors of Science from Michigan State University in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. My previous research at Michigan State University was in plant breeding and biotechnology where I used agrobacterium mediated transformation to edit potatoes and tomatoes for drought resistance and reduced cold sweetening
