About
I am a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Plant Pathology at the University of Florida, working with Dr. Samuel Martins. I earned my B.S. in Horticulture from Shenyang Agricultural University, China, where I researched Chinese cabbage breeding. Subsequently, I earned my M.S. and Ph.D. in Horticultural Sciences from the University of Florida, where my research focused on postharvest physiology, fruit quality, and sustainable production systems. My current research evaluates essential oils and GRAS compounds for postharvest disease management in mushrooms, with the goal of developing safe and effective alternatives to conventional management methods. My broader interests include postharvest biology and pathology, sustainable horticultural production systems that enhance crop resilience, food safety, and quality.
