Two Rising Stars

Plant Pathology's commitment to teaching shines in two Rising Stars!

The UF Center for Teaching Excellence Rising Star Awards recognize faculty university-wide for their commitment to ongoing educational improvements and excellence. Rising Stars demonstrate a track record of both continued skills development and service in teaching. The Plant Pathology department had two of the ten 2021 Rising Star Recipients, Dr. Brantlee Spakes Richter and Dr. Samuel Martins, and was the only department with multiple recipients. 

Rising Star Awards are presented at the annual Interface conference. Dr. Spakes Richter was also presented with one of six Exemplary Online Awards.
