Web blight affects leaves and pods. Leaves symptoms include water soaking symptoms, followed by browning or necrotic circular lesions. The infected leaves die and fall off.
Pod symptoms include irregular lesions which are brown in color. The lesions may merge to form large spots. The seeds will be damaged on affected pods.
Rhizoctonia spp. have hyphae (fungal strands) that show branching at close to right angles, have septa near the branching point and have a constriction near the branching point.
