


Cucurbits are highly sensitive to cold injury. Symptoms can vary depending upon the low temperature range and extend of a low temperature. Papery and bleached appearance of the leaves are characteristic symptoms.

In a single night of temperatures dropping to 35 F on cucumbers in North Florida, leaves exhibited white bleached sections through a vast section and through most of the leaves.
COLD INJURY
Cause: Temperatures of 50F or lower.
